Without even trying, Simon Goodall’s vocals are both in style and texture, so naturally comparable to those of Cliff Richard, that even the great man has referred to the similarity as “uncanny”
From “Move it” to “Memphis Tennessee”, Simon brilliantly & respectfully delivers each song to the highest of standards, so much so if you closed your eyes “This could be Cliff” says broadcaster Mike Read.
In 2008 Simon was invited to perform at a “Champagne Reception” before an array of celebrities at the salubrious Dorchester Hotel London for Cliff’s 50th Anniversary Tribute Lunch hosted by Variety, The Children’s Charity.
In July 2010 Simon was invited to perform at Dorchester Hotel in aid of The Caron Keating Foundation and as part of Cliffs forthcoming 70th Birthday celebrations. During Simon’s performance of ‘Miss you Nights” Sir Cliff joined him on stage for surprise duet, much to the delight of the fans!
July 2011, at The Savoy Hotel London & once again in aid of the Carom Keating Foundation, following his performance to celebrities & guests Gloria Hunniford said, “Not only do Cliff’s own fans love & accept him, Simon is without doubt the next best thing to Cliff; I wouldn’t hesitate in booking Simon for any future events”
The best of compliments again comes from Sir Cliff. “Simon”, he says, “would be my no.1 choice to represent me and my music on stage.” An accolade indeed!
