Jina Turner

Jina is very excited to be directing/choreographing and performing in her multi-tribute musical theatre
production with her company Ultimate Divas performing tributes to Tina Turner, Whitney Houston, Aretha
Franklin, Diana Ross and Donna Summer. Alongside producing shows, due to public demand she
performs solo tributes to Tina Turner and Whitney Houston. Other current projects include performing as a
vocalist and repertoire as a vocalist with the widely acclaimed Urban Soul Orchestra on Classic Ibiza with
Revival Productions. Previously performed with Soul 2 Soul as a violinist/ backing vocalist for their live
shows on the festival circuit, Jina also performs with various motown and soul artists including a
collaboration with George Benson arranging classical vocalists for his show at The Royal Albert Hall.
Jina fronted Hi-Gate the band featuring Judge Jules and Paul Yomanda Masterson. Their debut single
entered the UK charts at no. 6 in January 2000 under Incentive Records. They enjoyed repeat success
with their follow up which entered at no. 12 in August 2000. She then became the vocalist leading house
band Superfly in Channel 4’s Richard Blackwood Show and sung/ co-wrote the theme tune, collaborating
with writers from Strongsongs and Z Music Publishing Company for international recording artists.
As a violinist she has performed with artists including Mary J Blige, Spiller, Robert Miles, Sonique,
Jamiroquai and Jamelia. Her keen interest as a ‘classical soul’ crossover artist has led to performing as a
soprano soloist with The London Community Gospel Choir.
Jina is a teacher/ choreographer /musician, co-ordinating castings, shows, marketing strategies for
commercial & non-commercial projects. Theatre credits include Prissy in Gone With the Wind, onstage
swing soprano in Carmen Jones (RFH), featured classical vocalist in The Gospel According to Broadway
(Hackney Empire), The Wizard of Oz (RFH) and Songs of Sister Act.
