Here at Tribute Acts Management we pride ourselves on our friendly and helpful attitude towards potential clients. We strive to make our clients feel comfortable when booking an act and to really feel like they can ask as many questions as they need to ensure they get the best act for them.
Because of this, we thought we’d put together a small guide on how to make sure you’re booking the right act!
Knowing your audience:
When you are deciding on the type entertainment for your event, it’s important to know your audience and have a good understanding what they would like or dislike. It might be a no brainer, but making sure the entertainment you choose is both age appropriate and fitting for the style and setting of your event is crucial to its success. You’re not going to have a balloon animal artist at a conference for CEOs, just like you’re not going to hire Brazilian dancers for a children’s party! Simple decisions but hold the main key to the success of your event.
Receive advice before you book!
Getting advice off people with experience is second to none in terms of how helpful it will be in helping you organise a perfect event. People with prior experience can often provide clarity over certain aspects such as matching the entertainment to the theme. For example, if your event is circus themed, you might consider hiring a juggling act or a fire dancer and if your event is a masquerade, you might consider having a masquerade themed dance act. This will assist with the cohesiveness of your event and will help with the success of your event as a result.
Consider the size of your event
The type of entertainment you choose should vary depending on the size of your event. If your event is taking place in a small venue with little stage space, booking a full circus and fire breathing act isn’t going to be for you. However, a singer/band would be ideal! It’s all really basic factors but all are imperative in creating a successful event!
